Karine Atchemyan
In the whole variety of their charm these bronze sculptures are a hymn of beauty
Born in 1964 in Yerevan, Karine Atchemyan is a graduate of Yerevan State University. She has apprenticed at famous sculptor Mariam Hakobyan’s studio. Atchemyan is a participant of numerous international exhibitions. Her works are in private collection worldwide.
Karine Atchemyan’s sculptures represent a chain of tender and alluring figures. The sculptor is inspired with lyricism of ancient songs and epics of her homeland. Armenia has accumulated aspiration of harmony within Karine’s soul, which is expressed in the passionate dance of her sculptures. These figures seem to dance with mountain winds. Her female figures are slender and attractive, always sensitive and cautious despite their nudity. In the whole variety of their charm these bronze sculptures are a hymn of beauty.
Through purity and chastity Karine shows that art isn’t merely a harmony of forms and figures; it is also a way towards perfect spiritual harmony.
